Mrs. Tom Clayton of Dolliver Dies
Mrs. Tom Clayton, 64, of Dolliver died Saturday at Holy Family hospital. She had been admitted to the hospital on Friday. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the First Methodist church in Dolliver, the Rev. Donald Glazier officiating.

Mrs. Clayton was born Jan. 19, 1892 at Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton had lived the past 18 years on a farm seven miles northwest of Armstrong.

She is survived by her husband and a son, Loren, of Dolliver. One sister and three brothers also survive her death.

Burial was in the Armstrong Grove cemetery at Armstrong. The Slaba Funeral Home of Armstrong was in charge. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 4, 1956)

Last Rites at Dolliver For Mrs. Clayton
Mrs. Tom Clayton of Dolliver, daughter of Mrs. Nella DePue of Emmetsburg, died Saturday, Sept. 1, in Holy Family Hospital following a heart attack.

Many relatives and friends drove to Dolliver Tuesday to attend last rites which were held at the Dolliver Methodist church at 1:30.

Survivors include her husband, a son, Loren Clayton, her mother, one sister and three brothers including Mrs. Ruby Gerken of Stickney, S.D., Harold DePue of Cylinder, Ralph DePue of Custer, S.D., and Raymond DePue of Minneapolis. Her father, William DePue, preceded her in death. (Emmetsburg Reporter, Emmetsburg, IA, September 11, 1956)
