Funeral Rites For Leslie Churchill
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Leslie Churchill, 47, who was killed instantly Saturday [October 6, 1951] at 6:15 p.m. when a car collided with his bicycle as he was riding into town on highway No. 9.

Leslie Ray Churchill, son of Aura and Isabelle Churchill, was born in Armstrong Dec. 8, 1904. He attended the Armstrong school. He was united in marriage to Irene Lorraine Weseman and to this union three children were born. They are Doris Irene, 11, Kenneth Ray, 9, and Byron Bruce, 7. Surviving his death are his wife and three children, his father and mother besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 9, from the First Methodist church with the Rev. S.E. Polovina in charge. Interment was in Armstrong Grove cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 16, 1951)
