Ringsted – Services for Grace Lulu Bussa, 89, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michael Hibbs officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died Tuesday, May 23, 1989 at Sogge Good Samaritan Center, Windom, Minn.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Ringsted from 4-9 p.m. Thursday.

She was born August 3, 1899 at Avon, the daughter of Everett and Myrtle (Grossnickle) Dalton and attended Clive and Valley Junction, Ia. and Fergus Falls, Minn. schools, also took Normal Training in Fergus Falls. On Sept. 3, 1925 she married Fred Bussa at Manson [per Iowa marriage records: Estherville]. She taught school 9 years in Minnesota; after marriage they farmed in Armstrong-Dolliver area and retired in late 60s moving into Ringsted. She was a member of Armstrong Presbyterian Church 50 years, later Ringsted Presbyterian; a Sunday School teacher and member of Womens International Federated Club.

Survivors include one son, Alvin Bussa, Windom and daughter, Mrs. Merlyn (Betty Lou) Elman, Buffalo Center; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers Garland Dalton, Healdsburg, Calif. and Everett Dalton, Priest River, Ida.; one sister Mrs. Joe (Norma) Billing, Petaluma, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974; parents and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 25, 1989)
