Mildred Burt of Armstrong Dies Today
Mrs. George (Mildred) Burns [Burt], 57, Armstrong, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1972, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

She was born Nov. 8, 1914, at Armstrong to Oscar and Evelyna Johnson and received her education in Armstrong schools.

On Nov. 22, 1932, she was married to George (Alvia [Alva]) Burt in Estherville.

She lived all of her life in the Armstrong area. For the past six years she was receptionist for Dr. Lindholm.

She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, George Alvia [Alva] Burt, Armstrong; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marylin) Naig, Ringsted; and four grandsons, Kevin, Brian, Rodney and Todd Naig, Ringsted.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong. The Rev. Donohue Sarff will officiate. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Armstrong from Friday noon until noon Saturday when the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 3, 1972)
