Seneca – Joseph Burt Sr., an old and respected pioneer of Seneca township, died at his home Nov. 7, at the age of 82 years. The funeral took place at the home Friday, Nov. 8, and he was laid to rest by the side of his wife in the Armstrong cemetery. (Algona Courier, Algona, IA, November 15, 1901)
