Clyde Bloyer
Clyde Bloyer of Spirit Lake died Monday, Sept. 13 at his home in Francis Sites, the victim of cancer. He was 67 years, one month and 11 days of age.

Clyde Bloyer was born at Lanark, Ill. and spent most of his life as a farmer.

July 30, 1919 he was married to Leona Cordeman. To this union were born nine children, Mrs. Ronald Foote of Orleans; Mrs. William Trow of Phoenix, Ariz.; Warren Bloyer of Waterloo; Mrs. Clifford Lee, missionary to Curaco, Netherlands West Indies; Glen and David Bloyer, both of Spirit Lake; Alvin LeRoy Bloyer, deceased; and two sons who died in infancy.

Other survivors are nine brothers and sisters, Guy of Schaller; George of Odebolt; Gerald of Schaller; Mrs. Eddie Meier of Schaller; Mrs. Herman Grundmeier of Schaller; Mrs. Henry Goodman of Early; Bernice of Schaller; and Mrs. John Caboth of Armstrong. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Bloyer was a member of the Faith Baptist church of Spirit Lake.

Funeral services were held at the Harpole funeral home in Spirit Lake, Sept. 16, 1954 at 1:30 a.m. with the Rev. John C. Kastelien of Elliott, Ill. delivering the message and the Rev. Chester Simpson in charge of the service. Burial was at Armstrong. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, September 23, 1954)
