Dolliver
Mrs. Wm. Blossie, who lived about four miles southwest of Dolliver was buried Saturday, the body being taken to Armstrong for interment. Hazel Blossie was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Lenox and was married to Wm. Blossie Feb. 15, 1915. She was the mother of two children, Carl Ernest, nearly four, and a little babe that was born Feb. 3rd which did not survive and was buried with the mother in the same casket, making it a double sad affliction to the bereaved husband and father. Mrs. Blossie was born May 27, 1896 [per cemetery records 1897; according to Iowa marriage records, 1895] and was at the date of her death 23 years, 7 months and 17 days. The beautiful floral offerings gave silent witness to the high esteem in which the deceased was held by the community of her friends, and the sympathy which the neighbors and friends have for the stricken family. Funeral services were held at the family home Saturday, Feb. 14, by Rev. Allen Bishop of Dolliver. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 18, 1920)

The death angel entered the home of Mr. Blossy and took the wife and mother. Mrs. Blossy passed away Thursday. Burial was in the Armstrong cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 18, 1920)
