Mrs. Blossy, 84, Dies Last Night
Mrs. Wilhelmina [Dass] Blossy, 84-year-old mother of Mrs. Henry Gay, of the town of Pelican, died in her daughter’s home at 11:30 o’clock last night. She had been in poor health for about two months.

Born in Germany on Feb. 18, 1860, Mrs. Blossy had lived here for about 34 years, coming from Iowa. She made her home with Mrs. Gay for the last five years. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church congregation and of the Pelican Woman’s Club.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Gay, is another daughter, Mrs. Thomas Hughes, of Marcy, N.Y., 12 grand children and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Blossy and three children preceded her in death.

Arrangements tentatively made provide for funeral service in the Hildebrand Funeral Home Friday afternoon. The Rev. Erwin Scharf, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, will officiate. The body will be in the funeral home from noon tomorrow until the time for the services. (Rhinelander Daily News, Rhinelander, WI, January 24, 1945)
