E.F. Bare, 80, of Armstrong Passes Away
In Poor Health Several Years
E.F. Bare, 80, died yesterday at 5:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Bunt, in Armstrong.

Edwin Franklin Bare was born in Reading, Pa., March 22, 1862. In 1890 he came to the state of Iowa where he had lived since. In 1881, he was married to Jennie P. Meyers. Mr. Bare came to Armstrong in 1900. For 30 years he was employed as section foreman on the Rock Island railroad but for several years he has been retired, making his home with his daughter. He was a member of the Armstrong Methodist church and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by his widow.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Bunt, Armstrong, and a foster daughter, Mrs. Leonora Wilcox of Watertown, S.D. There also are three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. N.F. Grote officiating. Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 22, 1942)
