Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Mrs. Jennie Priscilla Bare at the Methodist church with the Rev. J. D. Wolcott officiating. Mrs. Bare was born Sept. 14, 1863 at Lisbon, Iowa, and died Nov. 5 at Armstrong at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Bunt. Mrs. Bare had been ill for some time. She is survived by her husband and daughter, Mrs. R.E. Bunt. Interment was made in the Armstrong Grove cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 15, 1937)

Armstrong Journal: Mrs. E.F. Bare passed away Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.E. Bunt. Her health had been failing for several years but she was confined to her home just recently.

Jennie Priscilla Meyers, daughter of Henry and Priscilla Meyers, was born at Lisbon, Ia., on Sept. 14, 1863 and died at Armstrong, Ia., Nov. 5, 1937 at the ag of 74 years, one month and 22 days. She was married to Edwin Franklin Bare at Marion, Ia., in December, 1881. One daughter was born to them, Margaret, now Mrs. R.E. Bunt of Armstrong, with whom she has made her home the past few years. In 1903 she adopted a daughter, Lenora, who is Mrs. Chas. Goss of Watertown, S.D. Mrs. Bare was a member of the Methodist church here and the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. R.E. Bunt and adopted daughter, Mrs. Chas. Goss, also one – daughter, Mrs. Arnold So—and two grandsons, Roy Bunt and Chas. R. Gross.
