Clifford Hanson, 65, who died Oct. 9, [1979] in Holy Family Hospital, Estherville, will be given funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Rev. Stan Eyberg will officiate at services in Estherville Lutheran Church with interment in Swan Lake Township Cemetery.

Mr. Hanson had been involved in two traffic accidents Sunday night, one on the east edge of Estherville in which his car collided with one driven by Mrs. Charles Morris. The second one occurred west of Armstrong on Highway 9, when Hanson's car went off a curve and rolled in the Armstrong FFA park. Mr. Hanson was then taken to Holy Family Hospital.

His full name was Henry Clifford Hanson. He was born July 14, 1908, at Superior to Mr. and Mrs. John [O.] Hanson, and educated in rural Emmet County schools. He had never married but farmed during his early life, then was employed as a carpenter for many years, working for Fagre Construction Co.

Mr. Hanson was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include four sisters: Mrs. Belle Quastad, rural Estherville, Tilla Hanson and Mrs. Ed [Leora] Anderson, Estherville, and Mrs. Genevieve Richey of Iowa Falls; four brothers, Ernest, Laurence, Melvin and Lester Hanson, all of Estherville. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Estherville Daily News, 1979.
