Armstrong, Iowa, Jan. 21. – Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church for Alexandra [Alexander] Lesslie Allen who was found dead Wednesday morning at the State hospital at Cherokee.

Mr. Allen was born February 5, 1869, at Kirkhill, Aberdeen, Scotland, and died Jan. 15, 1936, at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 10 days.

Mr. Allen was a prosperous farmer of the community for a number of years and later a resident of Armstrong. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Jessie Salzwidel of Deerfield, Wis., and Laura Allen of Wilwaukee [Milwaukee], Wis.; two step children, Mrs. Clayton Houseman, Armstrong, and William Brown, Seneca.
