Estherville – Service for Josephine Iola Olson, 90, will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor James Cherry of Palestine Lutheran Church, Dolliver, officiating. Interment will be in Palestine Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dolliver. She died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1988 at Holy Family Hospital.

Josephine Iverson was born Jan. 15, 1898 near Dolliver, the daughter of Martin and Cora (Olson) Iverson. She attended country school and Dolliver Consolidated School. In December, 1919, she was united in marriage with Raymond Olson at Gruver. The couple lived in Wisconsin for two years, after their marriage, before moving back to a farm near Dolliver, where she lived until 1978 when she moved into Estherville. Mr. Olson died in 1977.

She was a member of the Palestine Lutheran Church and Dolliver American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Olson is survived by one son, Ronald C. Olson, Dolliver and one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Velma) Stuart, Estherville; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Leona Herum, Dolliver.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one great grandchild and a brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 27, 1988)
