Dolliver – Services for Mrs. Robert (Nora) Levell, 56, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at the Estherville Lutheran Church, with Pastor Phillip Olson of the Palestine Lutheran Church, rural Dolliver, officiating. Interment will be in the Palestine Lutheran Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville after 1 p.m. Friday.

Nora Amanda Berge was born Dec. 30, 1928 at Dolliver and was the daughter of John and Martha (Makenbakken) Berge. She graduated from Dolliver High School in 1946, attended Cedar Falls Teachers College. On Feb. 20, 1949 she was united in marriage with Robert Levell at the Estherville Lutheran Church. She lived all her life in the Dolliver area. She taught school at the Quastad School, Ayrshire Schools and Brown Bottom Country School in Jack Creek Township. She enjoyed helping her “kids” bake their birthday cakes, and enjoyed baking wedding and anniversary cakes. She was a member of Palestine Lutheran Church and Dolliver Community Bible School for 15 years.

Survivors include her husband Robert, rural Dolliver; one son Robert Jr., Papillion, Nebr.; four daughters: Mrs. David (Judy) Gosch, Gruver; Mrs. Ron (Peggy) Mason, Estherville; Mrs. Tom (Mary) Sampson, Jackson, Minn. and Jodi Levell, rural Dolliver and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Nels Berge. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 7, 1985)
