Armstrong – Services for Caroline M. Kinnander, 85, of Armstrong, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong with Pastor Paul Rothfusz officiating. Interment will be in Palestine Lutheran Cemetery, Dolliver. She died Monday, April 10, 1995 at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong. Henry-Olson-Furhman Funeral Home of Armstrong is in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 26, 1909 at Dolliver, the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Carlson) Eike. She attended school at Armstrong. She married Clarence Kinnander on Jan. 12, 1930 at Armstrong. The couple farmed south of Estherville 1931-1934, then moved to a farm near Armstrong until 1972 when they retired and moved to Dolliver. She has lived at Valley Vue Care Center the past few years. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong and when she lived in Dolliver, the Dolliver Lutheran Church. She was also active in the Lutheran Church Women when she was in better health.

Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Dale (Elizabreth) Lindell of Hudson and Mrs. Kenneth (Carol) Ritz) of Truman, Minn.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977; parents; four brothers; one sister; three half-brothers and one half-sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 15, 1995)
