Mrs. S. Flott, wife of one of the early settlers of Ellsworth township, died July 5th [per cemetery records July 4] at the age of 62 and was buried at the Lutheran cemetery near Dolliver Saturday. Rev. T.C. Thompson preached the funeral sermon. (Evening Tribune, Estherville, IA, July 7, 1902 / Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, July 9, 1902)
