Mrs. Eike, 66, Passes Away
Death Follows Long Illness
Mrs. Elizabeth [Knudson] Eike, 66, of Armstrong, died Friday morning in the Coleman hospital where she had been confined for two weeks. Mrs. Eike, a resident of Armstrong nearly all her life, had been ill since spring.Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at her home in Armstrong and at 1:30 in the Armstrong Lutheran church. The Rev. R.W. Boude will have charge of the services.
A widow, Mrs. Eike is survived by seven children: Bert Olson of Estherville; Ole Olson, Armstrong; Elmer Eike, St. Cloud, Minn.; Mrs. R. Sortell, Sortell, Minn.; Mrs. Clarence Kinnander, Estherville; Mrs. Claire Eike, Ringsted; and Manley Eike, Bedford. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 16, 1933)
Armstrong Woman Dies at Local Hospital
Mrs. Elizabeth Eike of Armstrong died Thursday [December 14, 1933] morning after a long illness. She had been brought to the Coleman hospital here for care and treatment and passed away here.Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Armstrong at one o’clock from the home and at one-thirty from the Lutheran church. Interment was made in Palestine cemetery at Dolliver.
Mrs. Eike is survived by 7 children, Bert Olson and Mrs. Clarence Kinnander of Estherville, Ole Olson, Armstrong, Mrs. R. Sartell, Sartell, Minn., Elmer Eike, St. Cloud, Minn., Mrs. Claire Eike, Ringsted, and Manley Eike, Bedford. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 19, 1933)
