Mrs. Christine Carlson Dies; Services Wednesday
Mrs. Christine Carlson, 94, former Ceylon and Dolliver resident, died at 6:20 pm. Sunday at the Ebenezer Nursing Home in Minneapolis. She had been a resident of the home for the past 19 years.

She was born Aug. 19, 1876 at Dawson, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. Baard Hanson.

On May 17, 1905, she was married to Nels Carlson at LacQuparle County, Minn.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Agnes) Carlson, Newberg, Ore., Mrs. Kenneth (Borghild) McKay, Rosemont, Minn., and Mrs. Edward (Carolyn) Haroldson of Minneapolis; two sons, Carl B., Minnepolis, and Rev. Nels Carlson, Lewiston, Ida.; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three children, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held this morning at the Ebenezer Nursing Home in Minneapolis at 9 a.m. and services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday at the Palestine Lutheran Church with Rev. Samuel Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville after 7 p.m. Tuesday until 10 on Wednesday morning.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Thomas McKay, David Haroldson, Donald Carlson, Frank Beatty, Michael Jothen, and Kenneth Jenson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 25, 1970)
