Estherville – Funeral services for Wilma [Ruth] Weber, 71, of Dolliver will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 8 at the Calvary Gospel Asembly in Estherville with Pastor Donald Erlitz officiating. Interment will be held at the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Dolliver. She died on May 5 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Henry-Olson-Furhman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born on March 17, 1929 in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of William and Mabel (Nelson) Ostwald.

She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1947.

On April 2, 1952 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Weber in Emmetsburg. After their marriage the couple lived in the Dolliver area. In 1985, the couple moved into Dolliver. She helped care for Florence Greig and Nadine Stillman for many years. Lloyd passed away in 1996.

She was a past member of the Dolliver Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, was active in Christian Women Speaks and also started the Dolliver Area Youth Group. She was currently an active member of the Calvary Gospel Assembly in Estherville where she sang on the music worship team, was a substitute adult Sunday School teacher and a member of the women’s missionary group. She was also a past member of Gold Star Mothers and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, John Weber and wife Mona of Ankeny and Mark Weber and wife Deborah of Glendale, Ariz.; one daughter, Diane Anderson and husband John of Estherville two grandchildren; one sister, Donna Mahin and husband Darwin “Dutch” of Estherville; special friend, Nadine Stillman of Dolliver and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son; her husband, Lloyd Weber and her parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 6, 2000)
