Mrs. Walter Burgeson Dies at 23
Mrs. Walter Burgeson, 23, of Estherville, died at 2 a.m. today at St. Mary’s hospital in Rochester. Ill for the past three weeks, it was discovered that she had had a heart deformity since birth.

She entered the Rochester hospital April 19 and gave birth to a three-pound daughter, April 21 by caesarean secton.

Mrs. Burgeson was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Estherville. Her maiden name was Joan [Mae] Weber. She attended the Dolliver grade and high school and lived in Dolliver all her life up to the time of her marriage. She also attended Estherville junior college for a year.

She taught a rural school near Wallingford for a year and in the Ringsted schools for two years.

On May 31, 1922, she married Walter Burgeson in the Dolliver Lutheran church.

She was a member of the Dolliver Lutheran church, Lutheran Young People’s society at Dolliver and Sunday school teacher there for three years.

Surviving her death are her husband and infant daughter. Also surviving are six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Peterson of Williams, Mrs. Clarence (Alberta) Hoffman of Estherville, Mrs. Melvin (Geraldine) Peterson of San Diego, Calif., Galen, Lloyd and George Weber, all of Dolliver, and her mother, Mrs. John Weber of Estherville. Her father preceded her in death in September, 1952.
