John Weber of Dolliver Dies at 62
John Charles Weber, 62, longtime resident of Dolliver, died at 8:40 a.m. yesterday of a cerebral hemorrhage. He suffered a stroke Friday evening and was hospitalized Monday.

Mr. Weber was born Oct. 27, 1880 [1889], in Hubbard and moved with his family the following year to Dolliver where he has continued to reside until his death. He was educated in the Dolliver public schools.

He married Hazel Stanerson in 1914 in Estherville. He has been an active member of the Dolliver Lutheran church, holding several church offices. He had been operating a hardware store in Dolliver up to the time of his death.

Surviving his death are his wife; seven children, Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Peterson of Williams, Mrs. Walter (Joan) Bergeson of Armstrong, Mrs. Melvin (Geraldine) Peterson of Imperial Beach, Calif., Mrs. Clarence (Alberta) Hoffman of Estherville, Galen, George and Lloyd, all of Dolliver; and two sisters, Mrs. Ben DeKock of Estherville and Mrs. Fred Reiter of Fairmont.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the home and 2:30 p.m. at the Dolliver Lutheran church, the Rev. George Pallesen officiating. Burial will be in the Dolliver cemetery. Friends may call at the Sternborg funeral home after noon tomorrow. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 12, 1952)
