George Weber, 87, Dies After Heart Attack
George Weber, 87, died at 8:07 a.m. today after suffering a heart attack. He died in Holy Family hospital.

He had entered the hospital Tuesday. Before that time, he had never been seriously ill with his heart ailment. Weber, whose home has been in Dolliver for more than 55 years, has spent the last few winters with his daughter, Mrs. Ben DeKock, in Estherville.

He was born in Germany March 8, 1861, and came to this country when a small child.

He is survived by a son, John, of Dolliver, two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Reiter of Dolliver and Mrs. DeKock. He also is survived by 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. Weber [Augusta Kroeger Weber] died 13 years ago this month.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 17, 1948)

George Weber Dies Following Week’s Serious Illness
Death came to another pioneer resident of the county, George Weber. He has resided around Dolliver for some 55 years. He was one of the well known citizens of that part of the county. A very conservative man and a businessman who accumulated a considerable amount of wealth.

He was born in Germany March 8, 1861 and came to the United States when a small child. He has spent winters with his daughter, Mrs. Ben DeKock in this city. He entered the hospital a week ago Tuesday with a heart ailment. He had never been ill before that time.

He is survived by a son John, who resides at Dolliver and two daughters, Mrs. Ben DeKock of this city and Mrs. Alfred Reiter of Dolliver.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday from the Martin Funeral Chapel in this city. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 22, 1948)
