Estherville – Services for John William Moltzen, 86, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, 103 North Ninth Street, Estherville, with the Rev. David Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, rural Dolliver. He died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1986 at the Good Samaritan Center.

He was born July 26, 1899 at Dolliver, and was the son of Fred and Mary (Thoms) Moltzen. He attended country schools. He farmed in the Dolliver area before moving to Estherville in 1945. He was a member of the Dolliver Methodist Church. He never married.

He is survived by one sister, Clara Moltzen, Good Samaritan Center, Estherville; 11 nieces and two nephews; one sister-in-law Mrs. Herman Moltzen, Fairmont, Minn.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 11, 1986)
