Clara Moltzen
Estherville – Services for Miss Clara M. Moltzen, 93, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with the Rev. Marshall Monthei of the Dolliver United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, rural Dolliver. She died Monday, Dec. 7, 1987 at the Estherville Good Samarian Center.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 2-8 p.m. Thursday.

She was born June 26, 1894 at rural Dolliver, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Thoms) Moltzen and attended rural Dolliver schools. She moved into Dolliver in 1932 and after the death of her parents, she moved to Estherville in the early 1940s. She has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since 1982. She was a member of the Dolliver United Methodist Church and UMW.

Survivors include 2 nephews, Howard L. Johnson, Estherville and Donald Trees, Mesa, Ariz.; nieces: Mrs. Wilburn Swanson, Dolliver; Maxine Greenwald, Mrs. Ray Dreke, Mrs. Gordon Oltman, Fairmont, Minn.; Mrs. Ford Smith, Estherville; Geraldine Johnson, Iowa Falls; Mary Lampkin, Urbandale; Mrs. Vic Roggow, Alpha, Minn.; LaRayne Schrooten, Mesa, Ariz.; Mary Jo Moltzen, Elk City, Ida.; and Roberta Moltzen, Vancouver, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 10, 1987)
