Dolliver Man’s Rites Held Today
Estherville – Family graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today in Dolliver Cemetery for Ole Knutson. The Rev. Travis Cannaday officiated.Mr. Knutson of Dolliver died at the age of 86 at 11 p.m. Feb. 11 in Holy Family Hospital from infirmities of advanced age. He had been born Jan. 7, 1888 at Dolliver to Mr. and Mrs. Peder Knutson and was educated in rural Emmet County schools. He was married Dec. 15, 1915 to Grace Peterson at Dolliver. They homesteaded in South Dakota and later returned to Iowa where he farmed in the Dolliver area.
He is survived by one daughter, Sheryl (Mrs. Lin Barnes) of Mankato; and Leonard Ferguson who lived with the Knutson family for a number of years; two grandchildren, Bruce and David; two brothers, Silas Knutson of Dolliver and William Knutson of Mishawaka, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Russell, and three brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were Roger Knutson, Gaylord Knutson, Paul Snyder, Alvie Wicks, Elwin Miller and Linley Barnes. Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 13, 1974)

DOLLIVER--Private family graveside service for Ole Knutson, 86, of Dolliver were to be today at the Dolliver cemetery.
Mr. Knutson died Monday at Holy Family Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1888 on a farm near Dolliver, he married Grace Peterson, Dec. 15, 1915 at Dolliver. The couple farmed.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Linley Barnes of Mankato; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Silas of Dolliver and William of Mishawaka, Ind.
