Final Rites on Saturday
Funeral services for Niels Jensen Jesperson [Jespersen], 87, who died at noon yesterday at Holy Family Hospital, will be held tomorrow at the Dolliver Methodist Church. Family services will be at 11 a.m. and public services at 1:30, Rev. Donald Glazier and Rev. Herman U. Smith officiating. Burial will be at Dolliver cemetery.

Mr. Jesperson was born Aug. 26, 1878, at Fovling Holsted, Denmark, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Niels Jesperson. He received his education in Denmark.

He was married May 30, 1902, to Ellen Kristine Smidt in Outrup, Denmark.

Mrs. Jesperson died July 1, 1965.

Mr. Jesperson served on the Swan Lake Consolidated school board, was active in the Farm Bureau for many years, and was a member of Dolliver Methodist church.

He is survived by four sons, Christian of rural Estherville, Sigfred of Des Moines, Holger of Pasadena and Harry of rural Estherville; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Emma) Richards of Dolliver; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Einer Hansen, Thorvald Jessen, Harry Hansen, Halvor Smidt, Waldemar Hansen and Adolf Adolfs. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 14, 1966)
