Dolliver Man’s Rites Wednesday
Dolliver – Melvin L. [Lester] Hunt, 71, passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, at his home in Dolliver of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dolliver United Methodist Church with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating. Mrs. James Stillman will be the organist and Mrs. Galen Weber the soloist.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Reinhardt, Gene Yackle, Robert Moore, James Gray, Jack Benjamin and Mervan Rasmussen.

Friends may call at the Goodell Funeral Home, Ceylon, Minn., from Tuesday through Wednesday morning and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Hunt was born July 6, 1903 at Thornton. He was married to Clara E. Schwietert at Sioux Falls, S.D., on March 3, 1934. He did custom shelling and trucking in the Dolliver area until his retirement in 1966.

He is survived by his widow; two sons, Marvin of Dolliver and William of Muscatine; two daughters, Mrs. Leon Meyer, Welcome, Minn., and Mrs. Marlin Mosloski, Granada, Minn.; two half-brothers, Marvin Miller, Dolliver, and Leroy Miller, Fulton, N.Y.; and one step-brother, McKinley Miller, Canantaique, N.Y.; one half-sister, Mrs. Julius Hartwig, Waterloo, and 16 grandchildren.
