ESTHERVILLE - Funeral services for Rosemary Hartman, 88, of Estherville will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at United Methodist Church in Estherville with Pastor Lynn Elrod officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Dolliver.

She died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville.

Rosemary Hartman, the daughter of Howard and Ola (Blagg) Haywood, was born Oct. 28, 1922, near Estherville.

She attended country school in Center Township and graduated from Gruver High School in 1940.

On July 4, 1943, Rosemary was united in marriage to Robert Hartman in Estherville. The couple farmed east of Estherville, retiring in 1985. Robert died in 1994.

She was a member of United Methodist Church where she also belonged to the United Methodist Women, served on the funeral committee, was a member of the church quilting unit and volunteered in the church secretary office.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Postier of Rochester, Minn.; Marilee Weber and her husband, Jack, of Estherville; two grandchildren, Donna Wells and her husband, Jay, of Rochester and Tony Weber and his wife, Nicole, of Fort Dodge and two great-grandchildren, Brock and Mackenzie Weber, of Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Kathryn Merrill and brother, Howard Haywood Jr. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 3, 2011)
