F. Hartman Dies; Funeral Pending
Frank Hartman, 56, Estherville, died suddenly Thursday, Jan. 14, at 8:15 a.m. at his farm.

Arrangements are pending at Reese-Henry Funeral Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 14, 1971)

Frank Hartman Funeral Set for Saturday
Frank Homer Hartman, 56, rural Estherville, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning at his farm home north of Huntington in Martin County, Minnesota. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

He was born Nov. 24, 1914, at Sterling, Okla., to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hartman.

He moved to South Dakota with his parents as an infant and was educated in Sioux Falls schools. He lived in the Sioux Falls area until 1936, when he moved to Dolliver. There he farmed until 1941, when he entered the army. Following his discharge in 1945, he farmed south of Gruver, and in 1953, he moved to his present farm home north of Huntington.

He was married March 5, 1958, to Alice Peterson at Spencer. He was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; two sisters, Marion Hartman and Mrs. Murven Anderson, all of Estherville; and two brothers, Claude, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Glenn, Union, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church at Estherville with the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the Dolliver cemetery with military graveside rites.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, from today until noon Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 15, 1971)
