F. Hartman Passed Away
Had Been Ill For Several Months – Resident of Dolliver
Frank Hartman, 65 of Dolliver passed away Saturday [Sunday, February 15, 1942] evening at the Coleman hospital following an extended illness. He had been suffering from a kidney ailment and had been a patient at the hospital for several weeks. Recently he had been able to return to his home but pneumonia developed and he was returned to the hospital Saturday morning.The Hartman family resided on a farm near Dolliver until four years ago when they retired from the farm and moved into town. Mr. Hartman took an active part in all the affairs of the Dolliver community and was one of the leading citizens of the community.
Besides his widow [Beulah Flossie Lambert] he is survived by two daughters, Verna and Marian Hartman and three sons, Frank Hartman, Jr., with the US army, Glenn of Dolliver and Claude Hartman of Sioux City.
The funeral service will be held in the Mahlum and Anderson Chapel a 2:00 P.M. Wednesday with the Rev. Robert Sterling from near Sioux City officiating.
He will be buried in the cemetery south of Dolliver. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 17, 1942)
