Estherville – Funeral services for Jimmie Edward Hanson, 66, of Dodge Center, Minn. will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville with Pastor Joel Jorgenson officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Dolliver. He died on July 8, 2005 at the Red Wing Health Center in Red Wing, Minn.

Jimmie was born on Feb. 23, 1939. He graduated in 1957 and spent four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a body shop owner. He was a member of the American Legion and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.

He is survived by his dad Richard Hanson and step-mother Hulda Hanson of Estherville; children: Jim and Randee Hanson of Dodge Center, Minn., Kim and Bob Lewis of Pittsburg, Pa., Kari and Mario Catigalia of California and Mike Hanson of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren, sisters: Lorrine (Ronnie) Hoffmeyer of Estherville; Sandy (Bob) Hockett of Estherville and brother Harold Hanson of Lake Jackson, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary and one son, Kevin. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 12, 2005)
