Mrs. Hanson Dies; Rites Set Monday
Christina Hanson, 84, of Estherville died Friday [October 12, 1973] morning at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville with burial in the Dolliver cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville from Saturday evening until noon Monday.

Mrs. Hanson was born June 27, 1889 at Ringsted to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bogh. She was educated in Ringsted schools and married Muns Hanson April 7, 1908 in Estherville.

They lived in the Armstrong and Ringsted area until moving to Estherville in 1910, where they farmed until her husband’s death in 1939. Mrs. Hanson then moved to Estherville and was employed for several years at Holy Family Hospital.

Mrs. Hanson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by one son, Richard, of Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Bertha) Walters of Estherville and Mrs. August (Ruth) Rosenberg of Estherville; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Katherine Skow at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, two sisters and six brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 12, 1973)
