Relatives received a report of the death of Bruce Eckhart, Humboldt, who died from a lingering illness. He is the son of Mrs. Olive Eckhart, Dolliver. The funeral will be held at the funeral home in Humboldt Saturday, Jan. 16. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 15, 1971)

Services Saturday for Bruce B. [Bailey] Eckhart, 59
Services for Bruce B. Eckhart, 59, Humboldt, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lindhart Funeral Home.

Mr. Eckhart died at Bethesda General Hospital in Fort Dodge Wednesday [January 13, 1971] following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include the widow, Marcella [Nelson]; three sons; Chris, Mexico City, Mexico; Steve, Fort Dodge; and Jim, Concord, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Olive Eckhart, Dolliver; one brother, Lt. Col. A.J. Eckhart, Vietnam; and one sister, Mrs. Gordon Persons, Parkers Prairie, Minn. (Humboldt Independent, Humboldt, IA, January 16, 1971)
