Last Rites Today for Mrs. Deling
Funeral services were to be held for Mrs. Henry Deling, 68, of Dolliver at 2 p.m. today at Dolliver Lutheran church with the Rev. Waldemar Storm of Ceylon, officiating. She died Monday night at Fairmont Community Hospital of a heart attack.

Mrs. Deling was born Lena Oltmans [Karoline Wilhelmine Oltmanns], Dec. 1, 1895, in Germany, the daughter of Harm and Margaret Oltmans. In 1914, she came with her parents to the United States. They settled in central Iowa. On Jan. 28, 1915, she was wed to Henry Deling at Sterling, Colo.

They lived in Lake City before moving to the Dolliver area in 1947 where they had lived for the past 11 years.

Survivors include her husband, five children, Mrs. Clarence Gjerstad, Buffalo Center; Herman of Dunnell; Raymond of Rolfe; Mrs. Joe Lysholm of Dawson and Mrs. Elwin Bowman of Fairmont, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Deling of Truman and Mrs. Carl Trump of Faribault, and two brothers, Fred Oltmans of Vernon Center, and Raymond Oltmans of Minnesota Lake also survive.

Burial was to be in the church cemetery. [Lincoln Township] (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 26, 1963)
