Dickenson’s Services Wednesday in Dolliver
Estherville – Crawford [Wesley] Dickenson, 91, died Friday morning, April 5, in Balmer Nursing Home.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in United Methodist Church in Dolliver with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating. Burial will be made in Dolliver Cemetery.
Mr. Dickenson was born Oct. 1, 1882 in Thawville, Ill., to James and Louise Dickenson. On Feb. 24, 1902 he was married to Hattie Bassett at Sherburn, Minn. Following their marriage, they moved to Dolliver where they made their home. He operated a restaurant in Dolliver for many years. Mrs. Dickenson died June 20, 1967.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son, James Dickenson of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clair Anderson, Percy Herum, Lee Holl, Joe Sampson, James Stillman and Lyle Wicks.
Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville at any time Tuesday and until 11 a.m. Wednesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 8, 1974)
