Dolliver – Services for Mrs. Sigurd (Selma) Christensen, 70, Armstrong, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Dolliver United Methodist Church with the Rev. Merrill Summerbell officiating. Interment will be in the Dolliver cemetery.

Mrs. Christensen died Wednesday, July 20, 1977, at the Fairmont Community Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Armstrong, until noon Friday, when the body will be taken to the church.

She was born June 24, 1907, at Blue Earth, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Olson. She received her education in blue Earth schools and was married to Sigurd Christensen July 11, 1942, at Ponca, Neb.

The couple farmed in the Dolliver area for 35 years before moving to Armstrong in 1968. She was a member of the Dolliver United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Christensen is survived by her husband, Sigurd, Armstrong; one step-daughter, Mrs. Beverly Rustad, Seattle, Wash.; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 21, 1977)
