Sioux City – Services for Mrs. Nels H. (E. Junette) Balmer, 70, will be held Friday at Riverside Lutheran Church in Sioux City, following services the remains will be transported to the Estherville Lutheran Church for visitation from 2-3 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Dolliver cemetery. Following interment lunch will be served at Estherville Lutheran Church. She died Wedesday, August 20, 1986 in a Sioux City Hospital.

Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City is in charge of arrangements.

E. Junete Anfinson was born Oct. 3, 1915 at Cambridge, Ia., the daughter of Elias and Bertha (Berge) Anfinson. On Sept. 28, 1934 she was married to Nels H. Balmer at Wallingford. He died in Estherville in 1974. The Balmers operated the Balmer Nursing Home for 25 years. She retired following her husband’s death and in 1979 moved to Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons: Dale, Bemidji, Minn. and martin, Merrill; one daughter Mrs. Art (Beverly) Crumm, Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Emma Frey, Wells, Minn. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 21, 1986)
