Former Resident Dies Saturday in Minneapolis
Andres Lande, 62, and a former resident of Estherville died Saturday [June 11, 1932] at a hospital in Minneapolis, as a result of his failure to recover from an operation June 4.

Mr. Lande has lived in Minneapolis for the past 30 years and while living there has been a painter and paper hanger. He was born in Illinois Dec. 7, 1869, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anders O. Lande. As a child he moved with his parents to Polk county, Iowa. Later the family moved into Minnesota. He worked around home and in Estherville as a young life.

He is survived by four brothers, Ben, Martin and Lou Lande of Estherville and Ole Lande of Ankeny, by two sisters, Mrs. Ida Olson and Mrs. James Walrath of Estherville.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Mahlum and Anderson funeral parlors conducted by Rev. L.A. Mathre and burial was made in the Norwegian cemetery beside his parents. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, June 15, 1932)
