Estherville – Funeral services for Martha Isabel Sunde, 92, Estherville, were held Monday, Jan. 12, at the Estherville Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery with Henry Funeral Home in charge of services.

Mrs. Sunde died Friday, Jan. 9, at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. She was born Dec. 31, 1883, in Roland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olai Larson.

She came to Estherville as a child, spending the remainder of her life in Emmet County. She was married to Tom Sunde July 6, 1902, in the Palestine Lutheran Church at Dolliver. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Taylor Sunde, Estherville, Orris Sunde, Estherville, and Maurice Sunde, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Weldon Moore, Estherville, Mrs. Joe Zaugg, Estherville, and Mrs. William Anderson, Estherville; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Inga Glendinning, Rapid City, S.D., and Mrs. Anna Richardson, Olympia, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 12, 1976)
