Edith Rukke, Ex-resident, Dies at 54
Mrs. Edith (Anne) Rukke, 54, died at 7:15 a.m. today at St. Paul, Minn.

Mrs. Rukke was born March 5, 1914, at Estherville, to Mr. and Mrs. Lars and Olga (Ellefsen) Tendal.

Mrs. Rukke received her education in the Estherville schools.

She married Arless A. Rukke March 13, 1948, at Estherville.

Since their marriage the couple has lived in St. Paul.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in St. Paul.

Survivors include her husband, Arless; one sister, Mrs. David A. Smith, Alexandria, Va.; two brothers – Lewis Tendall, Estherville; and E.C. Tendal, Huntington Beach, Calif.; and her mother, Mrs. Lars Tendal, Estherville.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Estherville Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Winfield Johnson, St. Paul officiating.

The body will lie in state from 9 a.m. Friday until the time when the body will be taken to the church on Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 3, 1968)
