Estherville – Services for Mrs. Oscar (Agnes) Myhre, 84, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stan Eyberg officiating. Interment will be in the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Myhre died Tuesday [September 19, 1978] evening at the Good Samaritan Center, Estherville.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon Friday, when the body will be taken to the church.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kittleson, she was born Nov. 19, 1893, [per cemetery records, 1894] at Henry, S.D. She received her education in Henry schools and was married to Oscar Myhre on Oct. 1, 1919, at Henry. The couple moved to Emmet County following their marriage, where they farmed. She has been a resident of Emmet County since.

She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Myhre is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Norma) Treadway, Cherokee; three sons, Oscar Myhre Jr., Stanley Myhre and Marvin Myhre, all of Estherville; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Augustine Kittleson and Albert Marvin Kittleson, both of Henry; five sisters, Mrs. Elenora Rakness and Leah Crawford, both of Watertown, S.D., Thelma Putman, Volga, S.D., Esther Kittleson, Henry and Mildren Twedt, Canton, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband and six brothers and sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 21, 1978)
