Oscar B. Myhre, Estherville, Dies; Rites Set
Oscar B. Myhre, 74, Estherville, died at 6:12 this morning at Holy Family Hospital as a result of heart failure following a four-month illness.

He was born Sept. 17, 1894, at Estherville to Mr. and Mrs. Ole Myhre. He attended Estherville schools and the Des Moines Business School.

On Oct. 1, 1919, he was married to Agnes Kittleson at Naples, S.D. He was a lifetime resident of Emmet County and farmed in the rural Estherville area until his retirement six years ago.

He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife Agnes, rural Estherville; three sons, Oscar Jr.., Stanley and Marvin, all of rural Estherville; one daughter, Norma, Mrs. Rod Tredway, Estherville; eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. H.R. Portmann, Estherville.

Services have been tentatively scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating with burial in the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, after 7 p.m. Thursday until noon, Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 11, 1968)
