Estherville – Funeral services for Rosella L. Moore, 93, of Estherville will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 1999, at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery, Estherville. She died on June 25, 1999, at Rosewood Manor, Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of the services at the church on Monday.

She was born on Nov. 18, 1905 in Huntington, the daughter of tom and Martha (Larson) Sunde. She received her education in the Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville High School in 1924. Following high school, she moved to Chicago, Ill., where she attended the Lutheran Deaconess School of nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She also attended the University of Chicago in 1930. She then moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., where she was employed as a school nurse at Augustana College. She also took college courses at Augustana while working there. On Feb. 12, 1932, she was united in marriage to Weldon Truett Moore in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Throughout her career as a nurse, she worked in several different cities in the United States including the states of Illinois, South Dakota, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Iowa. She was employed at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at one time.

Following her retirement, she returned to Estherville in 1974. She has been a resident of Rosewood Manor Care Center in Estherville. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

She is survived by sons, Donald Moore and wife Madge of Palo Verde, Calif.; Dean Moore; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Anderson of Estherville; and daughter-in-law Bettie Moore of San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one great-granddaughter, three brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 26, 1999)
