Estherville – Services for Harold Eugene Helle, 43, of Estherville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye and Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He died Monday, April 27, 1992 at McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home after p.m. Wednesday.

He was born Dec. 2, 1948 at Estherville, the son of Eugene and Maxine (Trumble) Helle and attended Estherville schools, graduating from high school in 1966. On August 18, 1966 he married Dianne Woodyard at Estherville. He was employed by John Morrell and Co. in Estherville from 1966-82 then worked for the City of Estherville in the water department.

He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church; Izaak Walton League; Pheasants Forever; N.R.A.; and was an active instructor in hunter safety courses.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Tim (Lisa) Reynolds, Laurie Helle and Mrs. Brian (Tina) Woodcock all of Estherville; one son, Michael of the U.S. Army in Germany; four grandchildren: Elizabeth Helle; Jennifer and Lee Reynolds and Nicholas Woodcock; Esstherville; one sister, Mrs. Francis (Pamela) Johnson, Janesville, Minn. and one brother, Greg Helle of Milford.

He was preceded in death by his father, who died Feb. 14, 1988. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 29, 1992)
