Estherville Services for Delmer Buel Foster, 65, Estherville, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Norman Omodt officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He died Sunday, May 25, 1986 at his home.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born May 18, 1921 at Jackson, Minn., the son of Charles and Nellie (Olson) Foster. He attended Petersburg Schools. On May 9, 1943 he was united in marriage with Irene McClelland at Estherville Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in the Estherville-Terril area for 20 years before moving into Estherville in 1962. He operated a Standard Service Station in Estherville for eight years. In 1970 to couple moved to Storm Lake where he operated a small lighting company until retiring in 1985. In September of 1985 the couple returned to Estherville where he was active in starting D-Lite, Inc., an Estherville business. He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife Irene, Estherville; two sons: Charles, Storm Lake and Dennis, Sarasota, Fla.; one daughter Mrs. Steve (Donna) Leitzke, Marion, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers: Gaylord Foster, Jackson, Minn. and Clifford Foster, Blomkest, Minn.; six sisters: Gladys Larson, Neva Ringkob, Mrs. Robert (Juanita) Wachal, Mrs. Eldon (Verna) Winter all of Jackson, Minn., Mrs. Carling (Eleanor) Synstelien, Fergus Falls, Minn. and Mrs. Ernest (Ardell) Shaffer, Spirit Lake.
