Rites Thursday for Mother of Mrs. Carl Singbusch
Mrs. Marie Elswich [Elswick per gravestone], 89, mother of Mrs. Carl Singbusch, died Monday [October 4, 1954] night at the Singbusch hom in Newton. Mrs. Elswich has made her home for the past few years with Mr. and Mrs. Singbusch and moved with them last years from Estherville to Newton. Funeral service to will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Sternborg chapel with the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker officiating. Burial will be in the Estherville Lutheran cemetery. Note: per ancestry.com, Marie Elswick was the mother of Carl Singbusch, not Mrs. Singbusch. Her name was Anna Maria Louisa Demlow, who married first Karl Johann Frederick Singbusch (died 1905). Her 2nd husband was Pleasant Caylor Elswick (died 1930).
