Hubbard – Graveside committal services for Eleanor Singbusch, 82, will be held at the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23. She died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1987 at her home in Hubbard.

She was born Oct. 24, 1905 at Ruthven, the daughter of Edwin and Mary (Gould) Ruthven and attended rural school near Ruthven and graduated from Ruthven High School. She was married to Ernest Peterson at Ruthven. In April, 1947 she was married to Carl Singbush at Spirit Lake. The couple lived in Estherville until 1954 when they moved to Newton, they also lived at Baxter, Steamboat Rock and later moved to Hubbard. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church; American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.

Survivors include her husband,Carl; two sons: Arvid and Harvey Peterson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Dawnelda Tendal, Estherville; a brother Myron Ruthven, Ruthven. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 23, 1987)
