Adolph G. Erickson Dies at 47
Adolph G. Erickson, 47, Estherville farmer, died at 12:50 a.m. today at Holy Family hospital. He had suffered from high blood pressure for several years and entered the hospital three weeks ago.

Mr. Erickson was born Feb. 6, 1905, in Centerville, S.D. He moved with his family to Petersburg, Minn., at an early age. He attended grade and high school there.

On July 22, 1926, he married Lucille Hoffa at Pequot Lakes, Minn., and the couple farmed in Minnesota and Emmet county. They moved to their farm six miles northwest of Estherville six years ago.

He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran church.

Surviving his death are his wife; and five children, Donald, Dale, Roger and Marlys, all of Estherville, and Alice, a student nurse at Rochester.

He is also survived by two grandsons, Steven and David, sons of Donald Erickson; two brothers, Elmer of Jackson, Minn., and Ernest of Brainerd; three sisters, Mrs. L.C. Bargfrede (Emma) of Jackson; Mrs. James Bailey (Mabel) of Bemidji, Minn., and Mrs. Alvin Musolf (Hazel) of Brainerd; and his mother, Mrs. Anna Erickson of Brainerd.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Sandin funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran church, the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 13, 1952)
