Estherville – Services for Leslie C. Carey, 76, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fuhrman Funeral Chapel, Rev. Don Swanson will officiate. Interment will be in the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery. He died Saturday [May 8, 1982] at his home.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Monday until time of services Tuesday.

Carey was born Feb. 27, 1906 near Dolliver, the son of Alexander and Lottie (Osborn) Carry. He received his education in the country schools near Gruver. On June 2, 1928 he was married to Alma Elizabeth Stueland in Emmet county and after moving to town worked as custodians of the City Hall and he worked parttime for the Coast to Coast Strore.

Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. May Campbell, Emmetsburg and Mrs. Alice Salyers, Estherville; three brothers: Ed and Arnold of Estherville and Orville of Drayton Plains, Mich.; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife on June 16, 1981; his parents; two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 10, 1982)
