Lloyd Brunsvold Services Saturday in Estherville
Lloyd Kermit Brunsvold, 68, died Sept. 13 in Good Samaritan Center, Estherville. Formerly Emmet County treasurer, he resigned following an operation which he had undergone in March in Minneapolis.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley Eyberg officiating. Interment will be in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

Mr. Brunsvold was born Dec. 15, 1904, in Estherville to Alfred and Anna Stenberg Brunsvold. He was educated in Estherville schools and the Minneapolis Business College. He was married to Selma Munson on June 27, 1937, in Estherville.

After attending business college in Minneapolis, he worked in the bank at Wallingford and the bank at Lakefield, Minn. Mr. Brunsvold first began serving in Emmet County treasurer’s office in 1934 and became treasurer in 1943. He held that office until June, 1973, when he retired. He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church and the County Officers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Selma; his mother, Mrs. Anna Brusnvold, Estherville; two sons, David of Estherville and Jon of Minneapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Ehlert of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Arnold Clauson, Ringsted.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.
